Embark on an unforgettable hiking journey through the Ossena Waterfall as you try your hand at aqua trekking down the Ossena River in Sicily!

Ossena Waterfall Hike

Meet us at Casa Emanuel to begin our hiking route through the Ossena Waterfall. The adventure involves aqua trekking along with the exhilaration of crossing the river.

Starting just 4 kilometers (2.4 miles) from Militello in Val di Catania, we will walk along the river channel. During the aqua trekking, we will cross the river and proceed approximately 50 meters (164 feet) to reach the Ossena Waterfalls.

The hiking route will take between 3 and 4 hours, allowing for ample opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the Ossena River. As we trek, we will observe the striking contrast between the crystalline blue waters and black volcanic rock, typical of Sicily.

Upon reaching the Ossena Waterfall, we will pause for a picnic and rest before the return journey. Participants can take a refreshing dip in the calm waters beneath the falls. This is also an ideal moment for photographs of the scenic surroundings.

We will then start our return journey, concluding the hike approximately 4 to 5 hours after departure.
