Pompeii Tour

On this tour of Pompeii, we'll visit the Roman ruins of this city that was buried for 1,700 years by Mount Vesuvius, a significant experience in Campania!

Tour Details

We will depart from the selected meeting point towards Pompeii. Upon arrival, we will conduct a complete tour of the ruins, going back to the year 79 AD, specifically to August 24, when Emperor Titus received the news of the eruption of Vesuvius, affecting Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii.

We will explore the remains of the city buried under ash, learning about life before the eruption. Highlights include the Roman baths, bakeries, forum, House of the Vetti, and the lupanar, featuring frescoes of erotic scenes. We will also view more recent discoveries like statues, skeletons, and tools used by the inhabitants until their lives were frozen in time.

After a 3-hour guided tour, you will have free time for lunch in a local restaurant. The tour concludes with a return to the starting point after a total of 10 hours of sightseeing.
