Activity Details
We will pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa at the scheduled time and drive to Udawalawe National Park for a safari.
In a 4x4 vehicle, we will explore the natural landscapes of this protected area, known for its elephant population. Approximately 500 elephants live in the reserve, and you will see them in their natural habitat.
Besides elephants, the safari will also offer sights of deer, wild boar, jackals, and wild buffalo. Sightings of the elusive leopard may occur, although they are typically nocturnal.
During the tour, you can enjoy the scenic views of grassy fields, mountain ranges, and the Walawe River, which supports local wildlife.
On our return to Mirissa, we will make a stop at a local restaurant for lunch on your own. You will be dropped off back at your hotel 10 hours after your pickup.
