On this private safari in Udawalawe, we'll see Asian elephants and other species in this southern Sri Lankan reserve, including buffaloes, jackals, and leopards.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa and drive to Udawalawe National Park for an exciting safari.
In a 4x4 vehicle, we'll explore the natural landscapes of this protected area, home to around 500 elephants. Here, we will observe Asian elephants feeding and drinking in the park's open fields.
Additionally, we will encounter other wildlife such as deer, wild boar, jackals, and wild buffalo. If conditions are favorable, we may also spot the elusive leopard, although sightings are rare due to their nocturnal habits.
You will have the opportunity to admire the scenery of this renowned reserve, which includes grassy fields, mountain ranges, and the Walawe River, essential for local wildlife.
On our return to Mirissa, we will stop at a local restaurant for you to have lunch on your own. We will return you to your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
