Udawalawe National Park Safari

On this safari in Udawalawe, we'll see impressive Asian elephants along with other species in this southern Sri Lankan reserve, including buffaloes, jackals, and leopards.

Udawalawe National Park Safari

At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa and drive to Udawalawe National Park for a safari.

In a 4x4 vehicle, we will journey through the landscapes of this protected area, home to around 500 elephants. Observations will include Asian elephants in their natural habitat, feeding and drinking in the park's open fields.

Additionally, the safari will feature sightings of deer, wild boar, jackals, and wild buffalo. With some luck, we may also see the elusive leopard, although these are rare as leopards typically hunt at night.

During the trip, you will enjoy the scenery of this famous reserve, including grassy fields, mountain ranges, and the Walawe River, which supports local wildlife and vegetation.

On our return to Mirissa, we will stop at a local restaurant for you to have lunch on your own. We will drop you off back at your hotel approximately 10 hours after pickup.
