On this safari through Yala National Park, we will explore the diverse wildlife of southern Sri Lanka within its stunning landscapes.
Yala National Park Safari
At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa and travel by bus to Yala National Park.
Upon arrival at this protected natural area in the south of Sri Lanka, we will swap vehicles to begin an unforgettable safari in 4x4 through Yala National Park. This area covers over 97,000 hectares (239,692 acres) and is home to one of the most numerous colonies of leopards in the world.
After viewing these leopards, we will stop at a picnic area for breakfast. The safari will then continue to the Yala Asian elephant colony, where herds of elephants can be observed.
During the tour, we aim to spot over 100 species of birds, along with crocodiles, bears, wild boars, and other wildlife in this biodiverse ecosystem. Lunch will be provided, so please bring your picnic basket.
At the conclusion of the 4x4 safari, we will return to the park entrance and board the bus back to Mirissa. After an exciting 11 to 13 hours, we will drop you off at your hotel.
