The National Palace, the Ixchel Museum and other attractions are featured in this private tour of Guatemala City.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel for a private tour of Guatemala City. The tour begins at the Plaza de la Constitución, where you will observe the façade of the Guatemala City Cathedral, an 18th century neoclassical structure that has experienced multiple restorations due to the earthquakes of 1917, 1918, and 1976. Inside, you will see evidence of these earthquakes and admire a historic pipe organ.

The tour continues next to the National Palace, showcasing a blend of Neo-Plateresque, Spanish Baroque, and Renaissance styles. Afterward, you will visit the Civic Centre, known for its significant events during 2015, when Guatemala City was designated Ibero-American Capital of Culture.

Lastly, the tour concludes at the Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Textiles and Clothing, which boasts a vast collection of typical costumes, ceramics, jewelry, and related literature. This visit will provide insights into what a huipil is.

After 4 hours of exploration, you will be returned to your hotel.
