Guatemala History Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Guatemala City at 8 am and head to the old colonial town of Guatemala.
After about one hour, we'll arrive at the center of Antigua Guatemala. Our first stop will be Central Park, where we will see the Palacio de Los Capitanes Generales, the old city council, and San José Church.
You'll have the opportunity to take a photo with the Fountain of the Mermaids, built in 1739. It is inspired by the Neptune Fountain in Bologna, Italy.
Next, we'll visit the Second Cathedral in Antigua Guatemala, admiring its baroque facade.
We will stop for a traditional dish at a local restaurant (not included), and then proceed to the modern city for a tour around Guatemala City.
During this portion, we will walk along Avenida Las Américas to the city center, observing several governmental buildings, including the Supreme Court, Finance Ministry, city council, and Bank of Guatemala.
We will conclude the tour at the Plaza Mayor de la Constitución, which includes the Catedral Metropolitana.
We will return to the hotels in Guatemala City around 5:30 pm.
