Ever dreamt of seeing an active volcano up close? Now's your chance! On this excursion from Guatemala City, we'll hike up the Pacaya Volcano and explore this natural jewel of Central America.

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point in Guatemala City and head towards Pacaya National Park, located about an hour and a half away.

Once we arrive at the trailhead in San Vicente de Pacaya, we'll set off on our hike up the Pacaya Volcano. During the hike, we'll traverse beautiful pine forests and get great views of the volcano's smoking sulfuric cone, with the possibility of seeing small eruptions of lava.

From the mountainside, we'll observe the Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango volcanoes, as well as the Pacific lowlands and the horizon extending to El Salvador, including views of Guatemala City and Lake Amatitlan.

We'll stop for lunch, so please bring a picnic. Afterward, we'll start our descent to the base of the volcano, returning to the meeting points in Guatemala City approximately 8 hours after pickup.
