Natural pools, a city with more than 400 years of history, and Guatemala's national bird are the components of this 3-day tour of Semuc Champey, Cobán, and the Quetzal Sanctuary.

3-Day Tour Details

Day 1

Pick up from your hotel in Guatemala City in the morning to travel to Cobán. During the journey, we will stop at the Quetzal Refuge to try to spot the national bird of Guatemala and to enjoy the cloud forest and its biodiversity. After the visit, accommodation will be provided in Cobán for two nights, followed by a free afternoon to explore local sites.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will depart in a 4x4 for Semuc Champey, arriving after a 2-hour drive. A hike will be conducted through the Tropical Forest of Semuc Champey, including a viewpoint overlooking the Cahabón River and natural pools, where a swim is allowed. A picnic lunch will be provided, followed by exploration of the Lanquín caves. Return to the hotel in Cobán for the night.

Day 3

The final day includes the return trip to Guatemala City. A visit to the Rey Marcos Caves will be made to observe mineral formations. Lunch will be provided during a halfway stop. The tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel by approximately 5 pm.

Tour Accommodation

This tour provides two nights' accommodation in a double or triple room at the Park Hotel Resort in Cobán. Children aged 3 to 11 will share a room with parents or guardians in an extra bed.
