On this excursion to Sololá and Lake Atitlán, we'll take a tour of Guatemalan tradition and folklore and visit a typical market!

Sololá & Lake Atitlán Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guatemala City at 7 am and drive to Sololá, a significant tourist city in the country.

This municipality is one of the few in the Guatemalan highlands where you can still see its people dressed in traditional clothing, showcasing its rich culture. We will learn about the special meaning of this attire.

After a brief tour of the city, we'll go to the Sololá market. There, we will explore craft stalls, observe the daily and commercial life of the town, and roam its narrow streets. We will also enjoy a typical lunch that includes a starter, a main course, and a dessert.

Sololá is located next to Lake Atitlán, home to 12 communities of Indigenous Peoples, descendants of the Quiché, Kaqchikel, and Tzutuhil tribes. We will appreciate this natural wonder while engaging with Guatemalan folklore.

Finally, we will return to Guatemala City and drop you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
