Modena Private Tour

Modena is internationally known for its famous vinegar, but there is much more to the city than this. We will meet up in Piazza Grande square to start our fantastic private tour of the historic center.

From there, we will see the façade of the Modena cathedral and the elegant Civic Tower protected by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. The tower, also known as Ghirlandina, stands at almost 300 feet high.

We will visit the interior of the Cathedral to discover the secrets of this Romanesque jewel. We will also discuss San Gimignano and his importance in the history of the city.

Back in the square, we will visit the sculpture of Bonissima and learn about the various theories and legends surrounding this figure. We will then walk to the Albinelli market to explore Modena's cuisine, including Parmesan cheese and regional vinegar.

We will go through the Jewish quarter to see the synagogue and Palazzo Ducale di Modena with their intricate facades.

We will end the private tour by returning to the Piazza Grande square after a two-hour walk.
