Day Trip Along the Kenyan Coast
Hotel pickup will occur between 8 and 9 am for a comprehensive tour of the Kenyan coast.
Our first stop is the Kongo Mosque, the oldest mosque in East Africa, built by Arab traders in the 14th century, surrounded by a garden of baobabs and near the Congo River and the Indian Ocean.
Next, we will go to the river bank and board a canoe for a leisurely ride through the mangrove forests, lasting approximately one hour, before heading to Diani beach.
In Diani, we will enjoy a camel ride along the beach, experiencing the typical coastal activity.
Following this, we'll visit the Sacred Forest of Kaya Kinondo to walk through this important site for the Digo people, featuring over 180 species of plants.
At 1 pm, we'll proceed to Shimoni for lunch at a local seafood restaurant. After lunch, a guided tour of Shimoni will take place, highlighting the cave and ancient cemetery.
To conclude the day, we will take a boat ride on the Wasini Channel, including options for snorkeling and observing a breathtaking sunset.
The excursion will end with a return to your hotel at approximately 7 pm.
