Monforte de Lemos Guided Tour

We'll meet up 10 minutes before the scheduled time in front of the Parador Nacional de Turismo to begin our guided walking tour of Monforte de Lemos, the capital of the Ribeira Sacra.

The tour includes panoramic views of the Lemos Valley and insights about this Lugo town founded in 1104. We'll explore the exterior of the Monte de San Vicente monumental complex, including the County Palace, the Church of San Vicente del Pino, and the castle. Additionally, we will visit the cloisters of the Monastery of San Vicente del Pino.

Moving through the medieval village, we will see the Campillo de la Virgen and its wall with three gates. We will also explore the falagueira street and the remains of the Jewish quarter, part of the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters.

Our tour will continue to the Dominican Convent, the Church of A Régoa, the old bridge, and the exterior of the Convent of the Poor Clares.

Finally, we will pass by the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre and arrive at the Plaza de España. The guided tour of Monforte de Lemos concludes after 2 hours of exploring history and architecture.
