Montalcino & Abbey of Sant'Antimo Private Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet on Via Ricasoli to start our guided tour of Montalcino. Get ready to walk through a beautiful town in the Orcia Valley!
We'll walk through the historical center of this medieval town while we take you through its history, including its role in the conflicts between Siena and Florence and its significance as a refuge for nobility during these battles.
During the tour, we'll admire the exteriors of the 14th-century Fortress of Montalcino, the Palazzo dei Priori , and the Palazzo Pieri, and discuss the town's winemaking tradition, notably the Brunello di Montalcino.
After the tour of Montalcino, you'll follow the guide to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, located 15 minutes away. This monument is regarded as one of the most important monastic complexes in Tuscany.
