El Tigre Waterfalls Hike

On this trip to El Tigre Waterfalls, we will explore Monteverde's wild side with hiking, horseriding, and ziplining.

You can choose from two options when booking. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, an admission ticket to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch, lasting 5 hours. The available options are:

Hiking & Horseriding

Upon arrival at El Tigre Waterfalls, we will explain how to access the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve hiking trail. During the first 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), your guide will lead you across several hanging bridges and we will visit 4 waterfalls that are between 15 to 30 metres high (50-98 feet), allowing you to enjoy a dip in the natural pools.

Following this, we will ride horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to the summit, reaching a viewpoint with scenic views of surrounding volcanoes: Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles. Bring your cameras.

Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline

This option includes the same hike and horse ride, followed by an experience at the El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. You will wear zipline equipment and pedal a bicycle along zipline cables over 70 metres high (230 feet), enjoying views of the cloud forest and waterfalls during the 500-metre (0.3-mile) ride.

Hotel pickup services are included for those staying in the centre of Monteverde and Santa Elena.
