El Tigre Waterfalls Hike

On this trip to El Tigre Waterfalls, we'll explore Monteverde's wild side with hiking, horseriding, and ziplining.

Tour Options

Booking includes hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, an admission ticket to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch. Both options are 5 hours long:

Hiking & Horseriding

After arriving at El Tigre Waterfalls, we will begin a hiking trail along the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The first 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) include crossing several hanging bridges and stopping at 4 waterfalls (15 to 30 metres high) where you can swim in the natural pools.

Following this, we'll ride horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to the summit, reaching a viewpoint with views of volcanoes: Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles.

Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline

This option includes the same hiking and horseback riding, followed by the El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. After gearing up, we will pedal along zipline cables over 70 metres high (230 feet) for a 500-metre (0.3-mile) ride with views of the forest and waterfalls.

Hotel Pickup

Hotel pickup services are provided for those in the centre of Monteverde and Santa Elena.
