Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is distinguished among Costa Rican rainforests due to its constant cloud cover at 1,600 meters (5,250 feet) above sea level. The high humidity supports diverse fauna and flora in this area, featuring high biodiversity levels globally. During the walk, a guide will share insights about the ecosystem, with opportunities to see monkeys, coatis, hummingbirds, and potentially the quetzal. Binoculars and a telescope are provided for wildlife observation. The route encompasses approximately 9 hikes, including the La Ventana viewpoint, where both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen simultaneously.

Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve

This option explores Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, located on the Tilarán mountain range adjacent to the Monteverde conservation site, covering over 300 hectares (741 acres). This area hosts hundreds of plant and animal species, including spider monkeys and sloths.
