Night Hike in Oktari Monteverde

Tour Details

We will meet at 200 m (656 ft) north of the Bon Appetit restaurant at the designated time, starting our adventure in Oktari Monteverde, a private reserve near Santa Elena that is ideal for wildlife observation. The hike begins on a path surrounded by lush vegetation, transforming as night falls.

The tour involves natural trails without steps, featuring moss-coveredsprings, and up to four bridges for stops to observe nocturnal fauna in their habitat.

Participants will learn about the cloud forest ecosystem and its inhabitants, including bioluminescent insects, tree frogs, armadillos, and possibly a sloth or kinkajou in the branches, making for an engaging nighttime adventure.

We will conclude the two-hour tour by returning to the starting point after exploring the Costa Rican jungle.
