Excursion Overview

The journey begins early as we board a bus en route to Liguria, unveiling a stunning panorama: Cinque Terre, a charming ensemble of five towns beautifully situated on cliffs, enveloped by lush vineyards and verdant hills.

Our first stop is Manarola, recognized as the oldest village in Cinque Terre, home to fishermen and winemakers. Next, we will board a train to Riomaggiore, a quaint 18th-century settlement with a population of just 1,500.

From Riomaggiore, we will embark on a boat journey to Monterosso, another gem of this stunning coastal region. Here, we will dedicate two hours to discovering its picturesque streets and enjoying the largest beaches available. You’ll have a chance to grab a meal and relax before continuing our adventure by train to Vernazza, a charming fishing village nestled around a spectacular natural harbor.

To conclude the day, we’ll take a train to La Spezia, where our coach will await to transport us back to Montecatini.

Lunch Break in Monterosso

During our time in Monterosso, there will be an opportunity for lunch, where you can either explore a local restaurant at your leisure or opt for a prearranged meal when making your booking. The meal features a seafood salad, pasta tossed with pesto, and a dessert, with water or wine provided. Should you prefer a vegetarian alternative, please specify this in your reservation notes.

Self-Guided Tour of Cinque Terre

If you wish to explore Cinque Terre at your own rhythm, we offer a self-guided option. With this choice, you'll travel to Manarola via bus and then have the freedom to explore the area at your leisure for the entire day. Note that this option does not include transport between towns.

In this scenario, the guide will provide details on the pickup location in La Spezia for the return journey to Montecatini.

Key Information

During this day excursion, we will not access the famous Via dell’Amore, the picturesque trail along the Cinque Terre coastline, as it is closed until 2023. Nevertheless, you will still be able to savor the breathtaking beauty of the Italian coastline!The boat tours operate only from November 1 to March 31 and are weather permitting. Should the boat not be available, the itinerary will be adjusted to travel by bus and train.
