Etruscan Museums Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet at Piazza Grande in Montepulciano to board a minibus to the Tuscan town of Chianciano, located 20 minutes away.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Archaeological Museum of Chianciano Terme to explore the origins of the Etruscan civilization, including insights into their beliefs and the role of women. The guide will provide detailed information.
The museum features artifacts such as amphorae from the 5th century BC, a recreation of an ancient farm and tomb, bronze plates, and weapons.
Next, we will proceed to the Civic and Archaeological Museum of Sarteano in Palazzo Gabrielli, which houses a variety of Etruscan pieces including ceramics, luxury items, and human-shaped funeral urns.
Our final stop will be in the city of Chiusi, where we will explore underground galleries that exhibit the most extensive funerary epigraphy in Italy, as well as learn how these inscriptions were crafted.
The tour concludes with our return to the starting point at 2 pm.
