Etruscan Museums Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet at Piazza Grande in Montepulciano to board a minibus to the Tuscan town of Chianciano, which is 20 minutes away.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Archaeological Museum of Chianciano Terme to explore the origins of the Etruscan civilization. The guide will provide insights into the main beliefs and the role of women in this culture.
In the museum, we will see amphorae from the 5th century BC, a reproduction of an ancient farm and a tomb, as well as bronze plates, weapons, and more.
Next, we will visit the Civic and Archaeological Museum of Sarteano located in Palazzo Gabrielli. This exhibition features various Etruscan artifacts, including ceramics, luxury items, and human-shaped funeral urns.
The final stop will be in Chiusi, where we will explore underground galleries that hold the largest collection of funerary inscriptions in Italy, detailing the process of creating these inscriptions.
The tour will conclude back at the starting point at 2 pm.
