Montepulciano & Pienza Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Montepulciano's Piazza Grande to start our tour of this Italian hill town.

From the central square, we'll admire the façade of the Santa Assunta Cathedral, the Palazzo Comunale, and the Well of the Griffins and Lions. We'll stroll past the Renaissance palaces in the old town until we reach the Madonna di San Biagio Sanctuary, analyzing its exterior as a perfect example of Tuscan Renaissance architecture.

Nearby, we'll visit an underground cellar to taste the local delicacy: the Montepulciano Vino Nobile wine.

After the wine tasting, we'll board a minibus and drive through the Orcia Valley to Pienza, known as an ideal Renaissance town due to its elegance and classical layout.

We'll walk through Pienza's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, observing the façade of the Pienza Cathedral and the Piccolomini and Borgia palaces. The tour includes a tasting of delicious pecorino cheese.

Our tour will conclude with our return to the starting point after a 3-hour duration.
