Pecorino Cheese and Wine Tour

The tour meets at 1 pm in the Montepulciano piazza Grande, where you will board the minibus and begin the tour.

Crossing the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll arrive at a cheesemaker in the Pienza region, known for producing a famous variety of pecorino cheese in Italy.

Here, you'll learn about artisans dedicated to the production of this Tuscan delicacy, discovering the different steps involved, from caring for the sheep to the final product. A tasting will allow you to differentiate between various types of pecorino.

Next, the tour proceeds to Montepulciano, to visit a winery. You'll explore the winery where nobile wine, a protected denomination exclusive to this region, is made and aged. The experience includes tasting this wine along with another variety for comparison.

The tour concludes back at the starting point at 4 pm.
