Pecorino Cheese and Wine Tour

The tour meets at 1 pm in the Montepulciano piazza Grande, where we welcome you aboard the minibus and begin the tour!

Crossing the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll arrive at our first stop, a cheesemaker in the Pienza region, known for one of the most famous varieties of pecorino cheese in Italy.

Here we'll learn about the artisans dedicated to the production of this Tuscan delicacy. Every step, from caring for the sheep to the final product, will be explored. We will differentiate various types of pecorino through a tasting.

Next, we head to Montepulciano to visit a winery. The Nobile wine, a protected designation only from this region, is one of the oldest varieties in Italy. We'll explore the winery where it is made and aged and will have the opportunity to try a glass of this and another variety for comparison.

The tour concludes back at the starting point at 4 pm.
