Enjoy sampling the delicious taste of Uruguayan wine with this Bodega Bouza Tour. Discover how this drink is made, from the vineyard to the bottle, and taste several different varieties.

Bodega Bouza Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Montevideo at the scheduled time and head northwest towards our destination. The trip will take approximately 1 hour.

Upon arrival, we will take a 45-minute guided tour inside the winery and its grounds. During the walk through the vineyards, the guide will explain the history of the winery and the winemaking process, covering concepts such as pigeage, de-stemming, and malolactic fermentation.

We will also visit the underground caves where the aging process occurs, lasting between 6 and 18 months.

At the end of the visit to the Bouza Winery, you will enjoy either a full lunch with wine pairing or a wine tasting with appetizers, depending on your choice.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Montevideo.

Tasting with Aperitif or Lunch

When booking, you can select between a tour that includes a tasting of 4 wines (3 whites and 1 red) with a cheeseboard, cold meats, and empanadas or a lunch option that includes 2 courses with a glass of wine each, plus dessert, water, coffee or tea, and a liqueur. Possible lunch menu includes:

First course: leek roti and tomato concasse, chef's salad, crispy phyllo dough with cheese, or ginger prawns with accompanying wines.Main course: options include baby beef, lamb, salmon, or vegetarian sorrentinos with accompanying wines.Dessert: choices of homemade desserts accompanied by Orujo distillate.

The tasting lasts 30 minutes, while the lunch lasts about two hours. All options include a 45-minute guided tour of the winery.
