On this day excursion to Colonia del Sacramento from Montevideo, you will travel via bus with Buquebus, heading to one of the most enchanting locations in Uruguay. At the arranged time, our meeting point will be at the Buquebus ticket office in the Tres Cruces Terminal. From here, we will embark on a comfortable bus journey, departing from General Artigas Boulevard 1825 in Montevideo.

After approximately 2 hours on the road, we will arrive at the Buquebus terminal at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier, a city known for its charm along the Uruguayan coastline.

Upon arrival, you will hop on the city's sightseeing bus, which features 10 stops and operates over a duration of 50 minutes.

Stop 1 is located in the historic quarter of Colonia del Sacramento, at the junction of Ituzaingó Street and Arquitecto Miguel Ángel Odriozola Street.

You will have the freedom to hop on and off the sightseeing bus at your convenience throughout the day.

Alongside the sightseeing bus experience, you will partake in a guided exploration of Colonia del Sacramento lasting about 50 minutes. This daily tour starts from stop 1 on the sightseeing bus at specific times: 11 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm.

During this walking tour, we will discover famous spots including Calle de los Suspiros, the Basílica of the Holy Sacrament, the Colonia del Sacramento Lighthouse, and the Bastión de San Pedro. The tour will end near the gathering point.

This package also includes access to the Bull Ring in Colonia del Sacramento. The bus will stop at this site (stop 7), which operates from Wednesday to Sunday between 10 am and 6:30 pm.

At approximately 7:15 pm, please be back at the Buquebus terminal at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier. From there, we will board a bus returning to Montevideo's Tres Cruces Terminal. Our excursion will conclude after about 15 hours.

Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Sightseeing Bus + Bull Ring + Lunch

This option mirrors the previous day trip but includes lunch at a restaurant in the old town known as El Refugio. This restaurant operates daily from 12 pm to 4 pm and is situated at 200 Vasconcellos Street.

The menu features an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Drinks are excluded, though vegetarian selections are available.

Following lunch, we will return to Montevideo, wrapping up the trip after a total of 15 hours.

Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Bike Rental

Selecting this option allows you to engage in a guided tour of Colonia del Sacramento, and upon your arrival at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier, a bicycle will be provided. You can explore the city on wheels until the scheduled bus departure back to Montevideo, returning the bike to the same location at the pier.

Following the biking experience, we will head back to Montevideo, concluding the journey after approximately 15 hours.

Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Sightseeing Bus + Overnight Stay

By opting for this choice, you will enjoy both the sightseeing bus and a guided walking tour of the historic area, similar to the first option's conditions.

Additionally, once we arrive at Colonia's port, a transfer vehicle will take you to a 4-star hotel (Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia or a comparable establishment).

After a comfortable night, the next morning presents you with free time to explore further or simply unwind amid the serene beauty of Colonia. After lunch, a pickup will occur at the hotel, bringing you back to the port for your bus ride to Montevideo.

Note that accommodations do not include meals; only lodging is provided.

Day Trip With Pickup + Guided Tour

collect you from your hotel in Montevideo at the scheduled time. As we travel to Colonia de Sacramento, we will pass through Capurro and La Teja neighborhoods, visit the iconic Cerro de Montevideo, cross the Río Santa Lucía bridge, and head towards the San José region, an agricultural area celebrated for its potatoes and dairy.

After a journey of about 2.5 hours, we will arrive at the outskirts of Colonia del Sacramento, making our initial stop at the Museo del Lápiz de la Granja Arenas, where a traditional tasting of sweets and cheeses will be offered.

Next, we will reach Colonia del Sacramento, taking a scenic route to visit the Real de San Carlos Bull Ring and the picturesque Río de la Plata. Subsequently, a 30-minute walking tour will take place, highlighting key attractions such as the Portón de Campo, the Wall, Calle de los Suspiros, the Lighthouse, the Plaza Mayor, and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.

Afterward, you will have around 3 hours of leisure to wander through Colonia del Sacramento and savor its delectable local cuisine.

Ultimately, we will return to your hotel in Montevideo, arriving approximately 12 hours after pickup.
