Day Trip to Colonia del Sacramento

On this day trip to Colonia del Sacramento from Montevideo, you'll travel by bus with the Buquebus company to a notable destination in Uruguay, where you can select between a guided tour or a bike rental. Options to visit the famous Bull Ring or stay overnight in a hotel are also available.

Tour Details

At the designated time, meet at the Buquebus ticket desk in the Tres Cruces Terminal, located at General Artigas Boulevard 1825 in Montevideo. After approximately 2 hours, you will arrive at the Buquebus terminal at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier. Enjoy the activities included in your booking according to the selected tour option.

At 7:15 pm, return to the Buquebus terminal for the bus taking you back to Tres Cruces Terminal, concluding the day trip after about 15 hours.

Tour Options

When booking, you can choose one of the following options:

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus & Bull Ring

This option includes a sightseeing bus ride with 10 stops lasting 50 minutes. The tour begins at stop 1, in the old town at Ituzaingó and Arquitecto Miguel Ángel Odriozola Streets. Enjoy a guided tour of approximately 50 minutes daily at 11 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm, visiting major landmarks. Includes a ticket to the Bull Ring open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6:30 pm.

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus, Bull Ring & Lunch

This option is the same as above, plus lunch at El Refugio from 12 pm to 4 pm, with a menu including a starter, main dish, and dessert. Drinks are not included, and vegetarian options are available.

Transport + Bike Rental

Receive a bike to explore the city until departure time, returning it at the same location.

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus & One Night's Accommodation

This option includes the previous tour details and provides transportation to a 4-star hotel (Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia or similar). The next day, you will return to the pier for the bus back to Montevideo. Accommodation only is included; meals are not.
