Why see the Montevideo Carnival?

We'll meet at the entrance of Tablado Primero de Mayo, the venue for the Montevideo Carnival show. The Montevideo Carnival is one of the longest in the world, lasting about 40 consecutive nights, filling Uruguay's capital with life and color.

During the show, we will enjoy performances from 5 different groups: murgas (musical theater), comedians, parodists, revistas (dancers), and comparsas (street performers in costumes). These performances take place at open-air venues called tablados, which are integral to the carnival's culture since the early 20th century.

We will have the opportunity to experience between 3 and 6 different shows in Spanish, outside the more tourist areas, providing an authentic look into local carnival culture.

The event will last between 3-5 hours.

What are the ticket options for the Montevideo Carnival?

When buying your ticket for the Montevideo Carnival, you can choose from the following options:

Grandstand: The most affordable option, with seats further from the stage.Stalls: Seats located between the grandstand and the front row, unnumbered and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.Front Row Table (6 People): Premium seating in the front row with assigned numbered tickets.

Note that you don't need to purchase a ticket to the Montevideo Carnival show, as it's included with this activity.
