Montevideo: Private Wine Tour + Tasting

Join our private vineyards and wineries tour departing from Montevideo to explore Uruguayan wine in an exclusive setting.

Description

Pickup will be at your hotel in Montevideo and we'll travel to the vineyards on the outskirts of the capital.

The tour includes exploration of the Canelones wine region and the famous Tannat grape. We’ll visit various vineyards to observe the vines and learn about the cultivation process.

Next, we will visit a winery from the early 20th century, subject to availability. Here, you'll sample local wines.

The tour concludes with a tasting of cheese, cured ham, and empanadas—perfect pairings for the wines. We’ll return to Montevideo, arriving at your hotel approximately four and a half hours after pickup.

Optional lunch add-on

If you opt for this, following the tasting, you’ll enjoy a Uruguayan lunch at the winery's restaurant, featuring a traditional barbecue. After lunch, we will return to Montevideo, arriving at your hotel around five and a half hours after pickup.
