Our panoramic tour of Montevideo for cruise passengers starts from the city's port. During our journey, we'll explore iconic landmarks in this Rio Platenese city from a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
Leaving the port, we'll head to the Old City of Montevideo, particularly to Plaza de la Independencia. Here, we'll encounter monuments such as the Solis Theatre, the Artigas Mausoleum, the Casa de Gobierno museum, Palacio Salvo, and the Gateway of the Citadel.
We'll continue to Plaza Matriz, where we'll find the Metropolitan Cathedral and Cabildo, the former government seat. Our next stop is the Legislative Palace, established in 1925, followed by a visit to the Mercado Agrícola de Montevideo (MAM), a farmers' market showcasing Uruguayan gastronomy.
From the historic center, we'll pass by the Obelisco de los Constituyentes and visit Parque Batlle, home of the Estadio Centenario football stadium. We'll walk along the Rambla de Montevideo to Pocitos Beach, where you'll have the chance to photograph the city's sign.
Lastly, we'll visit the Punta Carretas neighborhood and make a stop at the Punta Brava lighthouse. After 2.5 hours, we'll return you to the port of Montevideo.
