Visit to Pizzorno Family Estates

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel at the specified time, whereupon we will embark on a short drive to the Pizzorno winery, located just 12 miles north of Montevideo, to explore the vibrant wine culture of Uruguay.

Under the guidance of a knowledgeable sommelier, we will stroll through the Tannat vineyards, celebrated as Uruguay's "national grape." You will gain insight into the cultivation of this remarkable grape and its transformation into the delightful local wines.

After learning the intricacies of the winemaking process, we will enter the winery for a tasting session, featuring the local wines paired with a selection of regional meats. The sommelier will elaborate on the variations among the wines, allowing us to uncover the unique characteristics and aromas present in each offering.

Approximately three hours later, we will conclude our experience and return to your accommodation in Montevideo.

When securing your reservation, you have the choice to enhance your tour with a culinary experience at the winery. This option includes a full menu with a starter, a main course, and a dessert, all paired with exceptional wines. A kids' menu will be provided for children, featuring seasonal local ingredients.

The sommelier will suggest the ideal pairings for each dish, offering options such as pairing roast beef with a Tannat or complementing your dessert with a late harvest wine.
