The cave paintings of Lascaux in the Périgord region are known as the Sistine Chapel of prehistoric art due to their exceptional quality. The original cave, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been closed to the public since 1963 for preservation purposes.
Your ticket to the Lascaux IV International Center for Cave Art includes an hour-long exploration of a precise replica of the Lascaux Cave, with the option of a guide or an audio guide. This reproduction accurately represents the original site and allows you to view hundreds of prehistoric paintings and engravings.
