Sète Trip & Oyster Tasting

Culture and food come together perfectly on this trip to Sète, a beautiful town in Occitania where we'll taste the best oysters in the south of France.

Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Place de l'Europe in Montpellier and travel to Sète. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy views of Bassin de Thau, the largest lake in Occitania, followed by an hour's walk through the seaside district of La Pointe Courte, known for its traditional fishermen's houses.

Next, we will visit an oyster farm, where an oyster farmer will explain how oysters and other shellfish are cultivated in this region, known for its optimal conditions for shellfish development.

We'll conclude the farm visit with a tasting of oysters, including the renowned Bouzigue oysters and Brasucade made with grilled mussels, served with lemon or vinegar with tarragon.

After this gastronomic experience, we will return to the meeting point in Montpellier, concluding this 4-hour excursion.
