Sète Trip & Oyster Tasting

Culture and food come together perfectly on this trip to Sète, a town in Occitania where we'll taste the best oysters in the south of France.

Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Place de l'Europe and travel from Montpellier to Sète. Upon arrival, we will view Bassin de Thau, the largest lake in Occitania, before walking for one hour through the seaside district of La Pointe Courte, which retains a traditional atmosphere.

Next, we will visit an oyster farm, where an experienced oyster farmer will explain how oysters and other shellfish are cultivated in this region. This area provides optimal conditions for their development.

We will conclude the farm visit with a tasting of oysters, including the well-known Bouzigue oysters and Brasucade with grilled mussels, complemented with lemon or vinegar and tarragon. After this gastronomic experience, we will return to the meeting point in Montpellier, concluding this 4-hour excursion.
