Santa Clara del Cobre Excursion

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your Morelia hotel at 8 am, as we set off towards Santa Clara del Cobre, a distinguished Magical Town in Michoacán, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and traditions.

Once we arrive, a guided exploration of the historic district allows us to appreciate key landmarks. The stunning baroque colonial architecture of the Church of Nuestra Señora del Sagrario alongside the Church of the Immaculate Conception are notable highlights.

As we meander through the main square, you'll be enchanted by the scenic homes adorned with arches and observe the daily activities of the local residents around the pavilion. Following our tour, you'll enjoy an hour of personal time to savor lunch or wander about at your leisure.

Next, we'll visit a workshop dedicated to handicrafts, where the unique artisan technique of copper hammering will be showcased. Traditionally, the Purépechas crafted beautiful pieces through synchronized hammering, a method that has survived the test of time.
