At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Morelia and head to Teremendo de los Reyes.

During our exploration of this town, we'll learn about its Purepecha roots and its foundation by Bishop Vasco de Quiroga. We'll visit the Church of the Holy Kings and admire its bell tower while discussing the festivity that occurs every 6th of January in honour of the Three Wise Men.

We'll stroll through Teremendo de los Reyes' narrow streets lined with small adobe and tile houses, before visiting an artisan bakery to observe the traditional bread-making process.

You will have an hour of free time for lunch. Following this, we'll embark on a 20-minute walk to the Alberca de Morelia, one of the three volcanic lakes in Michoacán.

We'll learn about the origins of the volcanic crater lake as we view the surrounding white sapote trees, ash trees, cactus, and oaks. The water colour can change from dark brown to emerald green, depending on the time of year.

Finally, we'll return to Morelia, arriving at your hotel by 6 pm.
