On the Tiristarán Caves & Chiquimitio Waterfall Day Trip, participants will explore the natural scenery around Morelia and learn about the Michoacán territory.

The trip begins with a pickup at 8 am from your hotel in Morelia, followed by a journey to Tiristarán, a small town in the Michoacán de Ocampo state.

Upon arrival, a 1.2-mile (2-kilometre) hike will lead to the Tiristarán Caves. Participants will don protective gear before entering three notable caves, named The Patio, the Stair, and the Cave of the Bats. Inside, unusual rock formations shaped by water and wind seepage will be observed.

After the cave exploration, a traditional lunch will be provided. The next destination is the Chiquimitio Waterfall, known for its turquoise blue pool, ideal for swimming. Optionally, participants can go abseiling next to the waterfall for an adrenaline rush.

The return to Morelia will conclude with an arrival at your hotel at 6 pm.
