Santa Elena Reserve + Tioyacu River Private Tour
At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Moyobamba and head east towards the Santa Elena ecological reserve. The trip by minibus will take us about 1 hour.
We'll spend about 3 hours getting to know the flora and fauna of the Santa Elena Ecological Reserve, a reference point for ecotourism in the Alto Mayo forest. More than 130 species of birds coexist in this place with different endemic mammals of Peru, such as the titi monkey.
After learning about the animals and plants of this reserve, we'll get on a boat to navigate the river and continue enjoying the nature here. We'll see orchids, trees like the huasca renaco, and bushes like the platanillo bijao.
Then, we'll take you to the source of the Tioyacu River, where you can take a refreshing dip while relaxing in the lush nature that surrounds these crystal-clear waters.
The last stop will be on the outskirts of the city of Rioja. We'll stop at a place famous for its curious drinks and have a lunch consisting of a typical Peruvian dish.
Finally, we'll finish the excursion at 5 pm, dropping you back off at your hotel.
