Tingana Nature Reserve Private Day Trip

Immerse yourself in the Peruvian jungle on this private day trip to the Tingana Nature Reserve. Lush vegetation, numerous bird species, monkeys, and other surprises await!

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Moyobamba and drive by minibus to the Tingana Ecological Reserve, a flooded forest.

After a 2-hour drive, we will arrive at our destination and enjoy a local breakfast. Then, we will take a boat across the Mayo and Avisado rivers, the fluvial currents that cross the Tingana Reserve.

During the boat ride, we will admire the flora and fauna of the reserve, observing animals such as woodpeckers, monkeys, sloths, and afaninga snakes. We will also share facts about these animals and note the shapes of the trees.

We will then return to land for a delicious lunch prepared over a wood fire, featuring a typical dish and a drink. After lunch, we will visit Finca Don Pepito, a farm within the Tingana reserve, where we will learn about coffee, cacao, and vanilla plantations, as well as a small orchid farm.

After approximately 9.5 hours, we will conclude the day trip and return to your hotel.
