Tingana Nature Reserve Private Excursion

At 6 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Moyobamba and drive by minibus to the Tingana Ecological Reserve. You're about to visit a flooded forest!

After a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination for a local breakfast. Then, we'll take a boat across the Mayo and Avisado rivers that traverse the Tingana Reserve.

During the boat ride, we'll observe the flora and fauna of the reserve, spotting woodpeckers, monkeys, sloths, and afaninga snakes. We’ll provide various facts about these animals and the unique shapes of the trees.

We’ll return to land for a lunch prepared over a wood fire, including a typical dish and a drink. Following this, we’ll visit Finca Don Pepito, a farm within the Tingana reserve where we'll learn about coffee, cacao, and vanilla plantations and tour a small orchid farm.

We'll conclude the excursion at 3:30 pm, returning to your hotel.

2-day excursion

If you choose to spend a night at the Tingana Ecological Reserve, we'll engage in the same activities and add a night walk through the jungle.

After resting, we will start the next day with breakfast in the reserve. We’ll return to the minibus and conclude the activity at 10 am, dropping you off at your hotel in Moyobamba.

The 2-day excursion includes one night of accommodation in double rooms at the Tingana Natural Refuge.
