Leave Munich for a day trip to the Bavarian Alps, visiting a mountain-top house with historical significance related to the Third Reich. Discover Berchtesgaden and the Eagle's Nest.
Description
Meet at the center of Munich at the indicated time and board a bus to Berchtesgaden, a mountain town near the German-Austrian border. Upon arrival, proceed to the Obersalzberg station, the departure point for visits to Kehlsteinhaus, known as the Eagle's Nest, which was built for Nazi Party members.
To access the building at over 6,000 ft (1,834 m) on Kehlstein Mountain, an elevator (not included) is used. Inside, items from the era of Hitler and the Nazis are displayed. The external viewpoint offers panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps, valleys, and forests.
After a guided tour of Kehlsteinhaus lasting approximately 2 hours, descend via the lift and visit Grafenhöhe restaurant to enjoy an hour and fifteen minutes of free time for lunch (not included).
Following lunch, return to the meeting point in Munich, concluding the tour after a total duration of 10 to 10.5 hours.
