Routes and Stops

The Munich sightseeing bus, Big Bus, offers two routes with stops at key attractions, including Marienplatz, Stachus, Nymphenburg Palace, and Olympiapark. The double-decker convertible vehicle allows you to tour the city at your own pace, hopping on and off at any stop and enjoying commentaries recorded in English.

Green Line: includes stops at Karlsplatz, Odeonsplatz, Eisbach River, Deutsches Museum, Marienplatz, and Max-Joseph-Platz.Orange Line: starts at Karlsplatz and includes Nymphenburg Palace, Olympiapark/BMW Welt & Museum, and Schwabing.

Options

Various ticket options are available:

24-hour ticket: unlimited access to the Big Bus Green Line for 24 hours.Full 24-hour ticket: access to both green and orange lines for 24 hours.Full 48-hour ticket: unlimited access for 48 hours on both routes.

How does it work?

The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use. A start date is requested upon booking, but you can use the service within 6 months of the chosen date. You will receive a voucher by email to present on your first bus.

Schedule and Frequencies

Green line

Times: daily from 10 am to 5 pm.Frequency: every 30 minutes.Total duration of the route: about 1 hour.

Orange line

Times: daily from 10 am to 4 pm, last full route at 4 pm.Frequency: approximately every 30 minutes.Total duration of the route: about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
