Salzburg is one of the most notable locations in Austria. This excursion by train from Munich allows visitors to explore the birth city of Mozart comfortably.

Salzburg Day Trip

At the specified time, we will convene at Dachauer Str. 4 in Munich, proceeding to the train for our journey to Salzburg. During this 2-hour scenic train ride, we will enjoy views of the Bavarian Alps, which separate Germany and Austria.

Upon arrival in Salzburg, we will participate in a guided walking tour of the city. Equipped with a city map, we will follow our guide through the UNESCO-listed streets, noting the Baroque architecture, castles, churches, monasteries, and squares. Notable sites include Domkirche Cathedral and Festung Hohensalzburg fortress.

After the walking tour, you will have 3 hours of free time to explore independently. We recommend visiting Mirabell Palace and its gardens, famous for hosting the 'Do-Re-Mi' scene from The Sound of Music. Other highlights in the medieval old town include Mozart's birthplace, the city market, and Salzburg Cathedral. This time also allows for souvenir shopping and enjoying local cuisine.

After the exploration, we will reconvene at the train station for our return journey to Munich. The tour concludes after 10 hours upon arrival back at the starting point.
