Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sonnenstraße 1 in Munich and depart for the south of Bavaria by bus. During the two-hour trip, our English-speaking guide will share fascinating facts about the region.

Our first stop will be at Schloss Linderhof, the Bavarian King's smallest castle. Here, you'll have the option for a guided tour, a stroll through the grounds, or a cup of tea or coffee.

Next, we'll proceed to Hohenschwangau, where you'll have time for a meal before visiting Neuschwanstein Castle.

We'll explore Neuschwanstein Castle and also admire Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of Ludwig II of Bavaria, the Mad King. Learn about this historic figure as we view the castle that inspired Walt Disney's fairytale palace.

On the day of the activity, you can choose to enter Neuschwanstein Castle to see its interior. Tickets are not included, costing 37 EUR for adults and 5 EUR for children under 18, and can be purchased from your guide in cash. Access to the castle involves a short uphill walk from the car park, or you can opt for a horse-drawn carriage or bus.

After 10.5 hours of exploring German history and architecture, we'll return to Munich, where the tour concludes.

Tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle are not included in the excursion price. You can buy these tickets directly from your guide in cash on the excursion day. If you prefer not to visit the castle's interior, you will have free time to explore the surroundings instead.
