Neuschwanstein Castle and Füssen Day Trip

Tour Details

After meeting the guide in the morning, we'll travel to the south of Bavaria by bus or train, depending on the season. During the two-hour trip, the English-speaking guide will provide insights about the region.

The tour includes views of Neuschwanstein Castle and the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of Ludwig II of Bavaria. We'll learn about this historic figure, known as the Mad King. You'll visit the best viewpoints, such as the Marienbrücke, for photo opportunities of the Bavarian landscapes from its height of 98 feet (30 metres). If time and weather permit, there will be options to visit the lake on the castle grounds or enjoy a stroll in the countryside, along with a stop for food and drinks.

There is an option to enter Neuschwanstein Castle for an interior tour. Tickets are not included (adults: 24 EUR; free for children under 18 years). They can be purchased from the guide on the excursion day. The castle is reachable by a short uphill walk or by horse-drawn carriage or bus.

After nine hours of exploring German history and architecture, we will return to Munich where the tour concludes.
