Tour Details
After meeting the guide in the morning, we will travel to the south of Bavaria by bus or train, depending on the season. During the two-hour trip, the professional English-speaking guide will share fascinating facts about the region.
You will see Neuschwanstein Castle and admire the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of Ludwig II of Bavaria. The guide will provide insights about this historic figure, known as the Mad King.
The tour includes visits to viewpoints like the Marienbrücke for photos of the Bavarian landscapes from 98 feet (30 meters) high. If time permits and weather is favorable, we can walk to the lake on the castle's grounds or enjoy a stroll through the countryside. A stop for food and drinks will also be included.
You can choose to enter Neuschwanstein Castle to see its majestic interior (tickets not included) and will have options for transport to the castle, whether by walking, horse-drawn carriage, or bus.
After approximately nine hours of exploring German history and architecture, we will return to Munich where the tour concludes.
