Salzburg Day Trip

Birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is a notable tourist destination in Austria. This tour also includes the Lake District, known from "The Sound of Music."

Itinerary

Our tour begins at Karlsplatz 21/Stachus, in front of the Kaufhof Gallery. We will depart Munich towards Austria, skirting the Alps and arriving in Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In Salzburg, we will visit the gardens of the Mirabell Palace, the exterior of the house where Mozart was born, the Royal residence, and various Baroque treasures.

After the bus tour, you will have free time to eat, explore, or visit the castle.

On our return to Munich, we will cross the lake district, stopping at Wolfgangsee. If desired, you can take a cruise from St. Wolfgang.

We will pass through the scenery from "The Sound of Music" and return to Munich by 7 pm.

Important Information

In November and December, due to poor weather, the cruise is replaced with additional free time in Salzburg. From August to October, roadworks may delay travel times, making the cruise impossible; the primary goal of the tour is to enjoy Salzburg.
