Come on this free walking tour of Murcia and immerse yourself in the city's rich history. We'll visit iconic landmarks and admire beautiful Gothic architecture.
Tour Details
We'll meet at Plaza del Cardenal Belluga to begin the tour. Our first stop is the Cathedral of Santa María, notable for its Gothic facade and a tower of 93 metres (305 feet), one of the tallest bell towers in Spain. Next, we’ll proceed through Plaza de la Glorieta to the Puentes de los Pelogros, the oldest bridge in the city, offering views of the Segura River.
Afterward, we will visit the Mercado de Verónicas, known for fresh local produce, before stopping at Murcia's medieval wall, dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries. Then, we will continue to Plaza de las Flores, home to cafés and tapas bars, before heading down Calle Jabonerías, once a street of the city’s medieval shops.
We will also see the Teatro Romea, the Plaza Santo Domingo, and the Real Casino de Murcia, a site of cultural interest. The tour concludes at the Capilla de los Vélez in Plaza de los Apóstoles, lasting a total of 2 hours.
