20-Minute Tour

This brief 20-minute journey is ideal for those with limited time, offering a glimpse into the main highlights of Takayama's historic district. We will stroll along charming streets, with the oldest structures dating back to the 17th century.

During the tour, we will appreciate the façade of the Takayama Jinya, which served as the governor's residence in the past, before crossing the Miyagawa River via the renowned red bridge known as Nakabashi, concluding our exploration there.

45-Minute Tour

Choose this option to enhance your visit. Alongside the historic town, we will delve into the spirituality present in Japanese culture by visiting the Yamazakura Sanctuary. Here, we will embrace the tranquility of the area while uncovering its rich history. Our 45-minute guided experience will wrap up outside the temple.

70-Minute Tour

The 70-minute tour is comprehensive, covering the historical center, Yamazakura Shrine, and Hida Kokubun-ji Temple. This option includes all previous sites and adds a visit to the city's most renowned temple. Prepare to be amazed by its three-story pagoda and the magnificent ginkgo tree, a natural monument recognized for its age of over a thousand years.

The tour will conclude outside the Hida Kokubun-ji Temple.
