Tour Options

At the time of booking, you can choose a guided tour duration of 20, 45 or 70 minutes, starting from Number 22 Kamininomachi Street at the scheduled time:

20-Minute Tour

This option provides a brief overview of the historic center of Takayama. Participants will walk through charming streets featuring houses dating back to the 17th century. The tour includes viewing the facade of the Takayama Jinya and crossing the Miyagawa river via the Nakabashi bridge, where it concludes.

45-Minute Tour

This option extends the visit to include the old town of Takayama and an exploration of the Yamazakura sanctuary. Participants will experience the tranquility of the site and learn about its history, concluding outside the temple after the 45-minute guided tour.

70-Minute Tour

This comprehensive option covers the historical center, Yamazakura Shrine, and the Hida Kokubun-ji Temple. In addition to previous sites, participants will explore this notable temple, viewing its three-storey pagoda and the ancient ginkgo tree, recognized as a natural monument in Japan. The tour concludes outside Hida Kokubun-ji Temple.
