Takayama & Shirakawago Day Trip

At the specified time, we'll meet at the west exit of Nagoya Station and travel approximately 2 hours by bus to Takayama. In Takayama, we will explore Sannomachi Street, known for its traditional wooden houses and temples. There will be free time for lunch at local restaurants, with recommendations for authentic Japanese cuisine. Post-lunch, we will visit Miyagawa and Jinya-mae markets.

Then, we will head to Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to walk through its streets and admire buildings with triangular straw roofs, over 250 years old, that showcase rural Japanese life. A visit to the Ogimachi Castle Observatory Deck will provide stunning views of Gassho-mura and Mount Hakusan. We will conclude with a stop at Ochiudo Cafe before returning to Nagoya, arriving back at the initial meeting point after 10 hours.

Schedule: this activity starts at 9 am.
