Sierra Baguales Hiking Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Natales at 7:30 am and depart for the Sierra Baguales. Upon arrival, we will have coffee and cookies before starting our hiking adventure with a short 30-minute walk to the Irene Lagoon, which is home to the Andean condor. During this time, we will share information related to the colonization of Chilean Patagonia.
Next, we will take the bus to the starting point of the second part of the hike through Sierra Baguales. This segment involves a 12.5-kilometer (7.8 miles) walk through the mountains leading to an area where marine fossils over 50 million years old can be found, remnants of a time when this region was submerged underwater.
We will then ascend to a viewpoint at 1200 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level, where we can enjoy panoramic views of the snowcapped peaks and valleys. During this stop, a picnic lunch will be provided, including a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a cereal bar, nuts, and water.
Finally, we will return to Puerto Natales, with an expected arrival at your hotel by 6:30 pm.
