Day Tour of Heritage Monasteries

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Nazaré at the arranged time, leading us to our initial destination: the Monastery of Alcobaça.

Recognized as Portugal's first Gothic structure, this site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989, and it’s easy to understand its significance! You will have an hour and a half of leisurely time to wander through this captivating monument.

Next, we will proceed to Batalha to explore the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, recognized for its immense architectural and historical importance. This site proudly stands as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Here, you will enjoy an hour of independent exploration to enter the monastery or perhaps enjoy a meal in the vicinity.

Our final stop will be Tomar, where we’ll visit the Convent of Christ, situated within Templar Castle, marking our third UNESCO World Heritage Site of the day! After soaking in the beauty of Tomar for an hour, we will commence our return to Nazaré, completing the excursion approximately 7 hours after we set out.
