Buggy and Sandboarding in the Usaka Desert
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and set off in a buggy to the Usaka desert.
Our first stop will be at the Ocongalla Aqueducts, built differently and still in use today. Next, we'll visit the pyramids of Cahuachi, the ancient capital of the Nazca culture. Here, we'll tour the ceremonial center before proceeding to a cemetery that has been targeted by grave robbers, where you can see skeletal remains over 1,600 years old related to the Nazca culture.
We will then cross the dunes of Usaka, riding over the impressive sand formations of the Peruvian desert.
Our stop at the top of one dune includes 1 hour of sandboarding where you’ll have materials provided to glide down the dunes. The experience will be memorable.
The day will conclude with a return to your hotel in Nazca after a four-hour tour.
