Pampa Galeras Barbara D'Achille Trip
At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and travel along the Nazca - Cuzco interoceanic highway for two hours. On the way, you will admire the landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and the Cerro Blanco, the highest dune in the world.
Upon arrival at Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille, located at an altitude of more than 13,500 feet high, we will see vicuñas and guanacos, two species of camelid that live freely on this Andean plateau. We will explore the characteristics of these animals, which are close relatives of llamas and alpacas.
We will enter the museum of the reserve to learn about the wild fauna in this area of Peru. The Vicuña Project and the conservation efforts for this endangered species will also be discussed.
After this, we will head back outside to observe these animals closely, and you will have the opportunity to take photographs. After an hour and a half of exploration in Pampa Galeras, we will return to the bus for our trip back to Nazca.
The tour will conclude at 2 pm.
