Museo dell'Acqua Guided Tour
We will meet at the specified time in central Piazza Dante and then walk to the Museo dell'Acqua. Prepare to explore the undergrounds of Naples.
Our descent will be 35 meters underground (114 feet) as we explore the tunnels and galleries. During this route, we will uncover the remains of an ancient Greco-Roman aqueduct, dating back to the time when the city was known as Neapolis.
While at the Museo dell'Acqua, we will view the remains of the ancient cistern and the ruins of the largest underground space in Naples, referred to as the Prince's Pool, with its naming reason being revealed during our exploration.
Along our 1 kilometer (0.8 miles) route, we will also see the area utilized as an aircraft shelter during World War II bombings.
After 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will return to the surface, concluding our tour.
