- 1 Stunde
Join us on a guided tour of the Museo dell'Acqua, where we'll explore a Greek-Roman aqueduct and a World War II anti-aircraft shelter.
Museo dell'Acqua Guided Tour
We'll meet at the specified time in central Piazza Dante and walk to the Museo dell'Acqua. Prepare to discover Naples' undergrounds.
As we descend 35 meters underground (114 feet), we'll explore tunnels and galleries beneath the city. This route includes the remains of an ancient Greco-Roman aqueduct from the period when the city was known as Neapolis.
During the tour, we will also observe the remains of an ancient cistern and the ruins of Naples' largest underground space, the Prince's Pool. The origin of its name will be revealed.
The route covers approximately 1 kilometer (0.8 miles) and includes an area used as an aircraft shelter during World War II bombings.
After 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will conclude the tour and return to the surface.
